Last year we celebrated four centuries of Dutch-American relations (1609-2009).

Because of this special occasion we were honoured that Dr. Valentin Fuster invited Dutch cardiologists to the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York the day before the official “Valentin Fuster Symposium”. Also known as the Annual ACC New York Cardiovascular Symposium. This conference is very popular among Dutch cardiologists and is considered as the best educational course in cardiology.

Together with his faculty Dr. Valentin Fuster and Dr. Marc Miller organized brief introductions/presentations in their areas of clinical work/research several lectures. Towards the end of the morning a tour of the medical center, labs, imaging center and research facilities was organized. This enabled a select group of cardiologists to exchange ideas and have a closer look at the cardiology department of the Mount Sinai Hospital New York.
